O novo Volkswagen cross up! teve classificação 10 no índice de reparabilidade da pesquisa CAR Group, realizada pelo CESVI Brasil (Centro de Experimentação e Segurança Viária), atingindo o melhor desempenho da história da pesquisa.
A classificação 10 é a melhor possível em uma escala de 10 a 60, tendo em foco o custo e o tempo de reparo do veículo. Dessa maneira, superou inclusive o up! convencional, que tinha custo de reparabilidade com classificação 11.
Segundo a Volkswagen, o modelo é disponível em carroceria de duas ou quatro portas e é o primeiro automóvel de entrada feito no País a obter cinco estrelas no Latin NCAP, organização que avalia a segurança dos veículos. No resultado, a classificação foi de cinco estrelas na proteção para adultos e quatro estrelas na proteção para crianças.
