No começo, cerca de 98% dos veículos da Subaru utilizavam a tecnologia Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, que segundo a empresa, proporciona uma perfeita sinergia entre elevado nível de estabilidade, capacidade para superar vários tipos de terrenos e distribuição equilibrada de peso.
