Pela 5ª vez consecutiva, a Ford colocou seu motor 1.0 EcoBoost entre os melhores do mundo. O conjunto foi eleito em prêmio internacional como o melhor da sua categoria, num evento promovido pela revista Engine Technology International, que contou com um júri de 65 jornalistas especializados do mundo inteiro.
O EcoBoost de três cilindros venceu na categoria de melhor motor até 1.0 litro, terminando à frente de 32 concorrentes. Os jurados, especialistas da área, destacaram a combinação de desempenho, economia e tecnologia do EcoBoost 1.0, que define o padrão global na categoria.
Globalmente, a linha Ford EcoBoost inclui os modelos 1.5, 1.6, 2.0 e 2.3 de quatro cilindros e 2.7 e 3.5 V6. Este último equipa o novo Ford GT, que volta às pistas este mês no circuito de Le Mans. No início do segundo semestre, este motor chega ao Brasil equipando o New Fiesta, como o mais potente do segmento.
