O BMW Group anunciou nova fábrica em Manaus (AM) para produção de novos modelos de motocicletas BMW Motorrad. Na unidade, será produzida a nova BMW G 310 R, além dos demais oito modelos já montados no País.
A iniciativa foi tomada para que a ampliação da capacidade produtiva fosse concretizada. A previsão é de que mais de 10.000 unidades saiam da linha de produção brasileira em 2017. A nova fábrica substituirá a linha de montagem de motocicletas atual da BMW Motorrad, também localizada em Manaus, atualmente operante por meio de uma parceria com a Dafra.
