A KS Kolbenschmidt GmbH, uma empresa do grupo alemão Rheinmetall AG e a Riken Corporation (“Riken”), fabricantes de pistões e anéis de segmento respectivamente, anunciam a formação de uma aliança estratégica global para vendas, engenharia e desenvolvimento de sistemas de cilindro.
O desenvolvimento conjunto de sistemas de cilindro será direcionado para a redução de emissões de CO2, melhoria da confiabilidade e redução total de custo e de propriedades para os motores da linha leve e pesada, tanto no mercado automotivo como no industrial.
Para isso, a KS Kolbenschimdt e Riken coordenarão sempre que necessário as suas vendas regionais, engenharia e suporte técnico para otimizar soluções de sistemas de cilindro, para a base global de clientes OEM.
Segundo o anúncio, a KS Kolbenschmidt e Riken estão construindo uma parceria já existente na índia, onde ambas já são parceiras joint-venture das empresas Shiram Pistons e Rings Limited, para incluir a cooperação na China, onde já assinaram uma carta de intenção para formar uma joint-venture de anéis de segmento, com base nas instalações da Riken, existente na província de Wuhan em Hubei.
