Com foco na reedição das vitórias do Ford GT nas pistas, a Ford reuniu uma legião de pilotos renomados para o retorno da marca às 24 horas de Le Mans. A equipe Ford Chip Ganassi Racing acaba de confirmar a contratação de Sébastien Bourdais, Scott Dixon, Billy Johnson e Harry Tincknell. Eles compõe o hall dos 12 pilotos da equipe que pilotam os quatro Ford GT na prova em 18 e 19 de junho.
Ford leva pilotos de renome para guiar GT em Le Mans
No momento em que a marca comemora ainda os 50 anos da vitória tripla do modelo na categoria, a missão é levar o Ford GT de volta ao pódio. O Ford GT número 66 terá o alemão Stefan Mücke, o francês Olivier Pla e o americano Billy Johnson, enquanto o escocês Marino Franchitti, o britânico Andy Priaulx (da Ilha Guernsey) e o inglês Harry Tincknell comandam o carro número 67.
No Ford GT número 68 estarão o americano Joey Hand, o alemão Dirk Müller e o francês Sébastien Bourdais. Já o carro 69 terá o neozelandês Scott Dixon, o inglês Richard Westbrook e o australiano Ryan Briscoe.
