Pilotando o IVECO Powerstar 505, equipado com motor Cursor 13, da FTP Industrial, o argentino Federico Villagra é destaque da IVECO no Rally Dakar 2019. Conhecido como “Coyote”, o piloto chegou na quarta posição na terceira etapa da competição e está em terceiro na classificação geral.
A terceira etapa foi disputada entre as cidades de San Juan de Marcona e Arequipa, no Peru, e colocou à prova pilotos e máquinas em um trajeto de 331 quilômetros, com trechos arenosos de difícil navegação.
Os outros pilotos da equipe IVECO, marca da CNH Industrial, terminaram a corrida nas seguintes posições: Ton Van Genugten (8º), Gerard de Rooy (12º) e Maurik Van Den Heuvel (18º).
Hoje, 10, acontece a etapa 4, uma das fases mais complexas do rali que será realizada entre as cidades de Arequipa e Tacna, sem apoio das equipes.
