O complexo industrial da Volkswagen em São José dos Pinhais, no Paraná, está comemorando seus 16 anos de atividades, com a marca de 2,3 milhões de veículos produzidos, e começa a se preparar com recursos tecnológicos de última geração para fabricar o Novo Golf.
A montadora afirma que está sendo investido R$ 520 milhões para o novo projeto, que se enquadra no mais avançado conceito de produção do Grupo Volkswagen – a estratégia Modular (MQB), que proporciona mais flexibilidade ao processo produtivo. Será aplicado ainda o conceito global “Think Blue. Factory.”, que tem o objetivo de melhorar em 25% seus indicadores ambientais de consumo de água e energia, de emissão de gás carbônico e de geração de resíduos e solventes.
Hoje, a fábrica emprega mais de 3.000 colaboradores e é responsável pela produção de modelos importantes como Fox, Fox BlueMotion, CrossFox e SpaceFox.
