Na Europa a Ford acaba de adotar como opcional nos modelos S-MAX e Galaxy, e em breve para o Edge, uma nova tecnologia de câmera que permite ao motorista ter uma visão de 180 graus da frente do carro.
O sistema é denominado “Front Split View Camera” (câmera dianteira de visão dividida) e permite identificar antecipadamente a aproximação de veículos, pedestres ou ciclistas, reduzindo o estresse e a possibilidade de acidentes nos cruzamentos.
A câmera de 1 megapixel é ativada por meio de um botão, A tecnologia pioneira no segmento é ativada por um botão. E mostra a cena numa tela colorida de 8 polegadas instalada no painel do carro.
Modelos da Ford como os novos S-MAX e Galaxy já oferecem as tecnologias de câmera de ré, sistema de alerta de pontos cegos, limitador inteligente de velocidade, assistente de pré-colisão com detetor de pedestre e farol alto antiofuscante.
