Nesta terça-feira, 4 de novembro, a Honeywell Transportation Systems comemora 38 anos de produção de turbos no Brasil, com quase 5 milhões de unidades produzidas. Segundo Christian Streck, diretor-geral da empresa, até 2020 o mercado na região deverá ser superior a um milhão de unidades, em virtude dos efeitos positivos do programa Inovar-Auto, criado para ampliar a eficiência energética dos motores.
Atualmente, a empresa desenvolve os turbos NGT 10 e NGT 12 para os futuros motores que as fábricas de veículos desenvolvem para lançamento no mercado brasileiro.
Durante este ano a Honeywell também comemorou a ratificação da certificação prata ao programa HOS (Honeywell Operation System), como uma das mais eficientes do mundo, e 17 anos seguidos sem a ocorrência de acidente com afastamento de funcionário.
