Em setembro a Ford Motor Company da África do Sul teve o seu melhor desempenho de vendas, com 7.269 veículos colocados no mercado, o que significa um aumento de 26% em relação ao mesmo mês do ano passado. Com o resultado, a Ford alcançou a fatia de 13,4% nas vendas no mercado sul-africano.
Trata-se de um novo recorde de vendas na África do Sul, resultado do crescente portfólio de modelos que a empresa oferece naquele país. O recorde de vendas inclui fortes performances da Ranger, EcoSport, Figo e Fiesta.
A Ranger estabeleceu um novo recorde de todos os tempos, com vendas no patamar de 2.629 unidades. As vendas do Fiesta foram as mais elevadas, desde setembro de 2005, com 1.238 veículos vendidos em setembro. Outro veículo, também equipado com motor EcoBoost, é o SUV compacto EcoSport. Em setembro ele continuou sua liderança no segmento, com 788 veículos vendidos, e o Figo, modelo de entrada, alcançou vendas de 1 511 unidades.
