Durante o 23º Congresso Internacional SAE Brasil, a Honeywell Transportation Systems vai apresentar a válvula “wastegate”, de controle de pressão do turbo Garrett, desenvolvida para o novo motor de 3 cilindros da PSA Peugeot Citroën.

Com produção realizada na Europa, a válvula “wastegate” controla o fluxo de gases que circulam dentro da carcaça de turbina, a fim de manter o controle da temperatura e da pressão no turbo alimentador. Em peça única, a nova válvula substitui o conjunto anterior, formado por três componentes, propiciando vedação mais eficiente, maior durabilidade e redução do nível de ruído no turbo.
